Woman Files Paternity Suit Against Rick Ross, Bawse Says He’s Not The Father

Rick Ross says he’s not the father of a 3-year-old, despite what a paternity suit is claiming…

A woman has filed a paternity suit against Rick Ross, but the Bawse says that he’s not the father and is more than ready to prove it with a DNA test.
TMZ is reporting 36-year-old Tyrisha Childers claims Ross got her pregnant a few years ago and hasn’t paid any child support for her 3-year-old child. According to documents seen by TMZ, Childers also has zero income aside from $694 a month in disability payments and not a penny in the bank.
This is all news to Ross, who claims he never even slept with Childers.
Meanwhile, fans still await the release of Ross’s highly-anticipated album, God Forgives, I Don’t. Earlier this month, Ross released his Rich Forever mixtape to great fanfare. The compilation features the likes of Nas, Drake, 2 Chainz, Diddy and Styles P.
In other news, XXLMag.com recently revealed that two Australian models are responsible for the catchy intros on many of MMG’s songs. One is Sports Illustrated supermodel Jessica Gomes, the other model Cheyenne Tozzi.
Gomes told 1millionhustlas that she shares mutual friends with Rick Ross and Jay-Z and that the Bawse asked her to do the intro.
“We were just hanging out, playing pool, listening to the music in a studio in NewYork and they were like, “I think you should say this on the song,’” Gomes said. “It was an intro. I was with another friend and she says, “What is this?’ and I say, ‘Maybach Music’ and she says, ‘I like this Maybach Music’ and then we both go, ‘Sweeeet!’ and both laugh. We’re both Australian, so we have an accent. They’ve used the intro for all their songs.”

Wale Says He Supports Pill Despite Him Not Being Part of MMG Anymore

“We still supporting what he doing. It just didn’t work out on the business side… I believe in Pill, and I’m sure Rozay believes in Pill. And, we wish him the best,” Wale said…
There’s no bad-blood between Wale and former Maybach Music Group affiliate Pill, the latter who claimed to never have been officially signed to MMG despite his presumed signee status. In fact, the “Lotus Flower Bomb” rapper says he still supports Pill regardless of his decision to disconnect from the team.
“Personal is personal,” Wale told MTV News recently. “Business is business. I’m friends with people that I’ve fired, so I’ve been in the game long enough to understand [you have to] separate the two. So, shout out to Pill and what he’s doing. We still supporting what he doing. It just didn’t work out on the business side… I believe in Pill, and I’m sure Rozay believes in Pill. And, we wish him the best.”
Despite rocking an MMG chain many times, being on the cover of the October 2011 issue of XXL alongside Rick Ross, Wale and Meek Mill, and being a part of the group’s compilation album, Self Made, Vol. 1, Pill recently announced he never signed a contract with Maybach.
“I never signed any paperwork with Ross,” Pill explained. “It was just my deal was over at Warner already.”
Similarly to Wale, P-I-Double-L has no animosity towards MMG. “I ain’t got nothing against none of them, nobody,” he assured. “It’s just the situation don’t work… It’s cool with us, I don’t got nothing against Ross either. It’s just I don’t talk to him.
“I ain’t really got too much to say to somebody that ain’t got too much to say to me,” he continued. “I’m not a brownnose, I ain’t a punk ass nigga and I’m not finna go trying to chase behind somebody that ain’t sayin’ nothing to me.”

The New York Daily News Gets Slammed for Jay-Z “Glory” Song Article

The New York Daily News is in hot water with its Twitter followers.
Early Friday (January 20), the newspaper published an article that exemplifies Jay-Z’s “Glory” track, a song dedicated to his newborn daughter, as a long-awaited anthem for Black leaders and family advocates. The piece voices the author’s optimistic opinion on how the Blue Ivy Carter-inspired composition might impact Black fathers.
“A lot of other babies are going to benefit. Because Jay-Z’s ecstatic reaction to being a dad will be the strongest boost yet to a growing movement in the Black community encouraging responsible fatherhood,” wrote writer Joanne Molloy.
Though Molly’s post might’ve been written with well intentions to address a large social and structural issue within the culture, it stirred a lot of controversy for the New York City-based publication, especially after The Daily News attached this message along with the link to the article on it’s twitter:

Two hours later, after receiving many replies reflecting an outraged public reaction, the newspaper apologized for failing to classify the tweet as opinion-based.

According to the author, 72 percent of African-Americans are raised without a dad. Jay-Z frequently mentions his father leaving his family for good, while he was only nine years old.

Lil Wayne Brawls With Dallas Cowboy At Nightclub

That’s the word according to the Miami Times News, who’s reporting that Weezy got into a little brawl with Dallas Cowboys wide receiver Dez Bryant over the weekend at Club Liv. The following updates have been coming in throughout the day:
Beach police have no incident reports from the fight, but a source tells a Herald reporter that Lil’ Wayne was involved. The fight happened inside the Fontainebleau’s LIV, the station reports, but details are otherwise sketchy about the altercation. For now, WFAA reports that Bryant was at LIV on Sunday night when he clashed with the unnamed rapper’s “entourage.
“The Dallas Morning News writes that the fight started over someone mocking Bryant about a subpar season and a mounting personal debt crisis. Either way, Bryant’s mentor David Wells tells WFAA that the wide receiver wasn’t arrested in the incident.”
MBPD apparently has no record of Bryant being detained on Sunday at the Fontainebleau. There was a bit of a melee outside LIV that night with a drunk patron striking a security guard in the chest and a crowd swarming to watch the fight, according to a police report, but Bryant isn’t mentioned in the paperwork.”

Emily B. Who? Fabolous Brings Adrienne Bailon To 40/40 Re-Opening??!!

Fabolous’ long suffering baby mama, Emily B., is really in denial, isn’t she? The “Love & Hip Hop” star has had to deal with Fabolous flaunting his infidelities in her face for nine long years, and last night at the grand re-opening of Jay-Z’s 40/40 club, Fab suck the knife in her heart even deeper. The Brooklyn rapper arrived with none other than former “Cheetah Girl,” Adreinne Bailon. Check out the photo of them below practically hand-in-hand.
Fabolous and Adrienne have long been accused of being bump buddies – something that both Fab and Emily have always denied. Let’s see Fab explain this one. Two words for you Emily B…MOVE ON!

Jay-Z Poem About Dropping The Word “B**ch” Is Fake

Jay-Z’s poem to his daughter Blue Ivy Carter suggested that he would no longer be using the word b**ch in his music, a story that has been making headlines around the world.
The only problem is, the poem is a fake.
Jay-Z spoke to the New York Daily News during the star-studded reopening of his 40/40 Club in New York last night (January 18).
According to the rapper, the hotly debated story is completely fraudulent.
“That poem and story are fake,” Jay-Z revealed.
The poem and the story was carried everywhere from blog sites to major publications like the Huffington Post.
The topic was debated around the Internet and a variety of radio shows, like the Joe Madison Show on Sirius/XM satellite radio.
While some applauded Jay-Z for allegedly dropping the word from his vocabulary, others, like Joe Madison, lambasted the rapper and stated that the damage had already been done.
Whether one is a detractor or a supporter at this point really doesn’t matter, since the story is bogus.

Jay-Z, Alicia Keys and Will.i.am Among Celebrities on Obama Campaign Wish List

Rappers Jay-Z and Will.i.am are among the celebrities comprising a wish list for the re-election campaign of President Barack Obama.
The list, which was leaked last week to the Nashville-based newspaper, The Tennessean, includes 194 potential campaign endorsers who are entertainers. In addition to Jay-Z and Will.i.am, singers Alicia Keys, John Legend and Maroon 5 frontman Adam Levine comprise the list, as well as India.Arie, Jamie Foxx, George Clooney, Sara Bareilles, Arcade Fire, Counting Crows, Ricky Martin, Josh Groban, Chris Cornell, and Will.i.am’s fellow Black Eyed Peas member Fergie.“This was a wish list of people and groups who may be asked to participate in a campaign event,” campaign spokesperson Addie Whisenant explained to The Tennessean. “Not everyone on this list has been contact or agreed to help the campaign.”Being a potential campaign endorser isn’t the first time Jay-Z or Will.i.am have been mentioned in the same breath as Obama. Both rappers have been vocal supporters of Obama, with Jay-Z actively helping to increase voter turnout during the then-Illinois senator’s run for the White House in 2008, in addition to performing for free at voter-drive concerts financed by Obama’s campaign. That following year, Jay-Z was featured on the official remix to fellow rhymesayer Young Jeezy’s song, “My President.”
Like Jay-Z, Will.i.am voiced his support for Obama in 2008. The entertainer contributed “Yes We Can,” a song featuring direct quotes from Obama’s concession speech in the New Hampshire presidential primary. The song, produced by Will.i.am and featured on the album Change Is Now: Renewing America’s Promise was accompanied by a star-studded music video that followed after its release on Feb. 2, 2008.
At this time, it remains to be seen whether Jay-Z and Will.i.am will officially lend their support to Obama’s 2012 re-election campaign.

Exclusive: Legal War Breaks Out Over Yung Joc

An Atlanta music company has filed a lawsuit against Yung Joc and Block Enterprises, claiming legal control over the rapper’s career.
Master Mind Music Inc. filed a lawsuit against Yung Joc and Block Enterprises in United States District Court, Northern District of Georgia on January 17.
The lawsuit claims that Yung Joc signed an artist development and exclusive recording agreement with Master Mind Music in February of 2005.
Under the deal that Yung Joc signed, each record that was created by the rapper during the duration of the deal, was to be the property of Master Mind Music.
Master Mind Music also reserved the exclusive right to copyright the recordings of Yung Joc in its own name.
In addition to administrative rights, the lawsuit claims that Master Mind Music was entitled to co-ownership of all of Yung Joc recordings, in addition to a 50% share of Yung Joc’s publishing during the term of the agreement.
The lawsuit claims that Master Mind Music helped with the recording and eventual release of Yung Joc’s debut album Hustlenomics, which contained the rapper’s biggest single “It’s Goin Down.”
Around October of 2005, Master Mind Music linked with Block Enterprises, in order to place Yung Joc on the Bad Boy/Atlantic Records record label.
The lawsuit claims that Block Enterprises presented Yung Joc as its sole artist, effectively cutting Master Mind Music out of the deal.
The lawsuit also claims the Block Enterprises illegally granted copyright interest in Yung Joc’s recordings to Bad Boy.
“Block knew or should have known that he did not have the rights to the artists’ exclusive recording services which he purportedly granted to Bad Boy/Atlantic,” the complaint reads. “Further, Block never subsequently acquired those rights from Master Mind.”
According to Master Mind Music’s lawsuit, Yung Joc debut album for Bad Boy, New Jock City, sold over 1 million copies.
Master Mind Music claim that Block Enterprises didn’t have the authority to distribute Yung Joc’s master recordings.
Master Mind Music is suing for copyright infringement, breach of contract, torturous interference with contractual relations, fraudulent misrepresentation, and fraud.

Michael Jordan thinks only Kobe Bryant deserves comparisons

Ever since Michael Jordan retired — all three times, really — the NBA has searched for the heir to his throne. Many players have popped up as pretenders to the throne, from Harold Miner to Jerry Stackhouse to Vince Carter. In recent years, people have stopped trying to find a clone and just searched for a similarly dominant great player. If you ever wondered why LeBron James is seen as such a failure, a lot of it has to do with his inability to meet the example set by Jordan.
There are many great players in the NBA these days, most of whom have never been directly compared to Jordan. Nevertheless, His Airness says only one player comes close enough to his greatness to merit the comparison. Not surprisingly, that player is Kobe Bryant. Here's what Roland Lazenby, a great writer currently working on a Jordan book, tweeted on Sunday (via PBT):
Kobe's ultimate competition is MJ. That's why MJ watches him. MJ made people think what he was doing wasn't human. Ditto the Kobester.
I never said Kobe was better than MJ. MJ just told me Kobe's the only one to have done the work, to deserve comparison.
Congratulations, Kobe: Your life's work has meant something. All that time spent aping Jordan's movements and skills has paid off. He acknowledged you. You made it.
Of course, if the notoriously petty Jordan was going to mention anyone, it makes that he'd single out Kobe, and not just because he'd consider the mimicry flattering. Bryant really does work harder than everyone else, and he's been good for long enough (with no signs of slowing down) that he may eventually top Jordan's longevity. They're similarly insane competitors.
The "Next Jordan" idea was always a silly one, but Bryant is certainly the player most like Jordan in all aspects of his game — even if he eventually becomes something less than the greatest player of the post-MJ era, which I'm sure many of you will argue in the comments. That's an accomplishment in itself. Even coming close to the top means something.

Birdman Announces New Album With Lil Wayne, “Like Father Like Son 2: Tha Last Mob”

The sequel to 2006′s Gold-certified album Like Father, Like Son is on the way according to Cash Money founder Brian “Baby” Williams.
The announcement came yesterday (January 14) when Birdman tweeted “LikeFather LikeSon 2 Tha Last MOB.YMCMB.”
This is one of the first updates on the Like Father, Like Son 2: Tha Last Mob since 2010 when Baby, in an interview with Entertainment Weekly, set a tentative release date of Father’s Day 2011 for the album.
“We’re planning on putting that out Father’s Day weekend,” he said. “[We're] bringing that Cash Money/Young Money sound, that traditional hard-body rap, the music that we do together—that gangsta s**t, straight up.”
Other than the recent tweet, the latest update on the album came from Birdman when he said: “We have a lot of songs we did before [Wayne] went [to jail], and we’ve been working since he came home. All we’ve got to do is pick. And Wayne likes to be fresh with our music, so we might wait… and just knock out 20 songs right quick and put those on the album.”

Scientist Names Rare Horse Fly After Beyoncé; California Marijuana Strain Named After Blue Ivy

Over the years, Beyoncé Knowles has amassed numerous honors in the world of music. Now the chart-topping vocalist can add another, as her name has been given to a previously un-named species of horsefly.
According to csironewsblog.com, the horse fly’s golden lower abdomen prompted Australian National Insect Collection researcher/ Commonwealth Scientific and Industrial Research Organisation (CSIRO) scientist Bryan Lessard to officially “describe” the fly as Scaptia (Plinthina) beyonceae.
It was the unique dense golden hairs on the fly’s abdomen that led me to name this fly in honour of the performer Beyoncé as well as giving me the chance to demonstrate the fun side of taxonomy – the naming of species,” Lessard said.
Sharing a name isn’t the only thing Knowles has in common with the horse fly. The site reports that the Scaptia (Plinthina) beyonceae, a rare species, was collected in 1981, the same year Beyoncé was born, from north-east Queensland’s Atherton Tablelands, together with two other previously unknown specimens.
Beyoncé’s inclusion in the insect world follows recent news surrounding her new daughter, Blue Ivy Carter. TMZ states that several weed dispensaries in Hollywood are selling a new strain of marijuana called “OG Blue Ivy.” At this time, Beyoncé and her husband, Jay-Z, have not issued a legal notice to the dispensaries regarding this situation.

Common talks about beef with Drake and confirms that it isn’t over Serena Williams…

The battle between Drake and Common has been the talk of the blogosphere lately and with the latter’s recently released dis track over Rick Ross’ “Stay Schemin,” one has to wonder where the animosity stems from.
Last night, Common appeared on Sirius Hip-Hop Nation radio show on which he clarified the battle between he and Drake is not because of Serena Williams, instead, “I got in this because it’s hip-hop,” he explained.
“I was speaking up on the song ‘Sweet’ about, over and over we’re hearing a lot of singing,” he continued. “I listen to R&B, I listen to good R&B and soul music, so I’m not opposed to singing. I’ma be frank about that. But I just spoke up for the art of hip-hop and what I feel about it. Once he said something back, that’s when I said, ‘aight, I guess you want to get in a battle with me. And if that’s what you want, then I’ll battle.’”
Common also professed that despite the battle, he didn’t intentionally mean to dis Drizzy on “Sweet.”
“I was like, ‘well, I wasn’t trying to address you specifically, but if you feel like you are that person and if you’re addressing this to me, then I have to address you back.’”
As of press time, Drake has yet to speak on the issue. Common’s The Dreamer, The Believer is available now.

Tyga’s No-Show Causes Riot at Concert Venue

Tyga’s no-show for a San Diego performance sent 1,200 attendees into a frenzy, destroying the venue…

Tyga is in trouble, again.
According to TMZ, the Young Money rapper no-showed at a concert he was allegedly scheduled to put on on earlier this month which caused hundreds of teenagers to go berzerk.
1,200 concertgoers trashed the World Beat Center in San Diego, California, on January 6 when they realized the “Rack City” spitter bailed on the show.
The madness got so wild that the San Diego Police Department was called for backup. 12 officers were dispatched to the scene, who eventually cleared everyone out. But the damage was already, including busted floors and walls, and now the manager of WBC is saying Tyga is banned from the event space for life.
Earlier this month, Tyga was arrested this weekend in Las Vegas after cops discovered he had a warrant out for his arrest.

Jay-Z: R.I.P. Bitch!

With Jay-Z vowing to never say the word “bitch” anymore, 1MHS celebrates his more derogatory days…
Jay-Z: “R.I.P. Bitch!”
Stop the presses, following the birth of his daughter, Blue Ivy Carter, with superstar wife Beyoncé, Jay-Z vowed that he will no longer say the word bitch.
In a poem obtained by NME magazine, Jigga wrote, ”Before I got in the game, made a change, and got rich/I didn’t think hard about using the word bitch/I rapped, I flipped it, I sold it, I lived it/Now with my daughter in this world I curse those that give it/No man will degrade her, or call her name/I’m so focused on your future, the degradation has passed/I wish you wealth, health and insight/ Forever young you may pass/Blue Ivy Carter, my angel.
While 1MHS applauds Hov and Bey for becoming proud, responsible parents, the staff is on the fence about Jay’s decision to stop using the “b-word,” especially since Jay has such a celebrated history with the derogatory term. But like anything in life, one must accept and move on. But before fans can digest this sad news, let’s take a look back at Shawn Carter’s best lines about bitches. Here’s to the good times.

Diddy Sued Over Empress Cologne By Hair Company With Same Name

A Texas-based company called Empress Hair Care claims Diddy stole the name “Empress” from them for his women’s perfume of the same name…
Mo money, mo problems — right, Diddy?
Sean “Diddy” Combs is being sued by a Texas-based company called Empress Hair Care, which claims the music mogul stole the name “Empress” from them for his women’s perfume of the same name, according to documents filed in Manhattan Federal Court last week.
Empress Hair Care, which sells products for women of color, claims Puff reached out to them February 2010 asking to work out a deal allowing him to use the Empress name, but the company declined, reports the New York Daily News. Lawyers for Diddy’s company, Sean John, attempted to trademark the name “Empress Sean John,” but that was denied as well. Still, Diddy went ahead and released the fragrance anyway.
Now, Empress Hair Care is crying foul, claiming infringement of a federally registered trademark and unfair competition. 1MHS reached out to Diddy’s reps, but calls haven’t been returned as of press time.

HIP HOP WORLDWIDE TAKES IT TO GERMANY!

Afrob (born Robert Zemichiel in 1977 in Italy) is an Afro-German rapper of Eritrean descent. He is easily recognizable due to his trademark afro, from which his pseudonym is derived.

Afrob was born in Venice, Italy to Eritrean parents but moved to Germany at a young age. His musical career began in 1994 with performances at a number of hip hop jams. He became known through collaborations with rappers from Stuttgart's hip hop collective, the Kolchose, but it was not until 1999 that he released his first solo album, Rolle mit Hip Hop. The first single from this album, "Reimemonster" ("rhyme monsters"), which featured Hamburg City rapper Ferris MC, is still widely regarded as a German hip hop classic. The album itself was also enjoyed a fair commercial success, reaching a respectable 13th place in the German album charts. That year, he toured Germany with Kolchose colleagues Freundeskreis and later as the opening act for Die Fantastischen Vier.
His second album, Made in Germany, which was released in 2001, was less successful, despite featuring acts like Gentleman, Wasi from Massive Töne or Max Herre and Joy Denalane. This album was more pensive than the first, however, and was interesting due to its social criticism, epitomized by the release of the anti-racist single "Öffne Die Augen" ("Open Your Eyes") with Frankfurt's D-Flame. Afrob's engagement with German racism continued with his participation in the Brothers Keepers project, collaborating with an all-star cast of Afro-German musicians in the single "Adriano".
This project also marked the first collaboration with Samy Deluxe. They met again when they worked on the single "Four Fists" and apparently enjoyed the experience so much that they decided to unite as one group called ASD and record an entire album together. The product of this cooperation was called Wer Hätte Das Gedacht? ("Who Would Have Thought?"), which hit the stores in 2003. The album entered the Top 10 of the charts, but some critics alleged that it lacked depth, as it was primarily a club album with the majority of tracks produced in the U.S..
In 2005 Afrob released his third album Hammer. It was produced by Needlz, Waajeed, B.R. Gunna and Jaz-O. The Album peaked at number 38 of the charts.
Four years later Afrob got his own label "G-Lette Music" and released his fourth Album "Der Letzte seiner Art".
