DMX Has Another MINOR Run-In With The Fuzz!
Well, this isn't something you hear every day!
DMX was pulled over last week by authorities, but this time - he was let go!
According to law enforcement, the rapper received a citation for not wearing a seat belt while driving with his assistant in Hollywood, but that was it!
And X himself explains:
"Just a minor ticket no biggie. A quick learning lesson about not wearing a seat belt. I will handle and pay for it. This would be the only reason I come in contact with the police because I am a changed man."We are certainly glad to hear that, boy!
But please remember to wear your seat belt!

Live Nation Blames Diddy And MTV For 2008 Making The Band Incident!
So much for solidarity!
As we mentioned before, during a taping of Diddy's Making the Band back in 2008, Kevin Faraday claims he was in the crowd at NYC's Hammerstein Ballroom…and he was hit in the abdomen by a guy with a mic.
As a result, Kevin filed a lawsuit against Diddy, MTV, Live Nation, and MANY others!
Now, Live Nation has filed a response to the lawsuit, in which they refuse to take responsibility for the incident AND they say that if anyone is to blame (besides Kevin himself), it's Diddy, MTV, and other people associated with the event.
Way to sell everyone out, Live Nation! We have a feeling Diddy will be looking elsewhere next time he goes on tour…
More Lawsuits For Jay-Z!

Looks like Jay-Z is getting hit with yet ANOTHER lawsuit, except this one isn't for stealing samples, but seems like a little heavier of an issues…
He's being sued by the Workers Compensation Board of New York. He owes $18,000 for not paying worker compensation insurance for three months in 2009 — to a lot of employees! We're talking cooks, maids, drivers, and domestic employees.
Apparently it was just a lapse, though, as he squared things away but just didn't pay the outstanding 18 grand.
We hear that Jay's camp says it's a clerical error and that he doesn't owe anything, but the court has since ordered him to pay up, so we're not so sure that's true!
We're just glad nobody got hurt during that period of not having insurance!
Amber Rose Claims Kim Kardashian Broke Up Her Relationship With Kanye West!

Amber Rose just dropped one hell of a drama bomb, and it's about to make Kim Kardashian's life THAT much messier!
According to the former Miss Kanye West, the reality starlet is the reason behind her split with the rapper, as she was openly seeing him - while she was also still dating Reggie Bush, no less!
Amber explains:
“Kim is one of the main reasons why me and Kanye are not together. She’s a homewrecker! They were both cheating. They were both cheating on me and Reggie with each other. She was sending pictures, and I was like, ‘Kim, just stop. Don’t be that person.’ I thought at least she’d be woman enough to respond to me. She never responded. After revealing that she and Wiz Khalifa were working on music in August 2011, Amber Rose has announced her first single.Breaking the news on PerezHilton.com, the model shared her excitement in releasing “Fame” featuring Wiz, with plans to release the track on the site on Tuesday, January 10th at 9 a.m. EST.
“I'm so excited to release my first song… It's CRAZY! Working with Wiz is a dream come true; I am fortunate to have his support,” said Rose. “This is a very personal song to me that I wanted to record for my fans. I want people to see the world from my eyes, you know, from BEHIND MY SHADES! Charli Baltimore Talks 2012 Comeback, Responds To Rumors Of Jay-Z Ghostwriting For Her
In the trailer for her forthcoming new album (due April 24th), not only does Charli Baltimore show off her just-released new single, "Machine Gun," but the West Philadelphia emcee born Tiffany Lane is also clearly showing off her shaved-head tattoo that sent tongues wagging online this past summer.
"It says 'we are never deceiving others, we are only deceiving ourselves,'" she explained to HipHopDX recently of her German-inscribed tat. "I kinda got it like paying homage to my dad. My dad was German and Irish, so I dunno, just something different."
Almost every move in the career of the spitter named after Geena Davis' assassin character in The Long Kiss Goodnight has been "different" from her mic-grabbing peers. Entering the Rap game not through open mics and battle-rhyme competitions but via her romantic relationship with The Notorious B.I.G. caused Charli to be seen as too different in the eyes of many skeptical Hip Hop heads who viewed her solely as a beneficiary of Biggie's legacy and not an artist to take seriously in her own right. Respect as an emcee has been hard to earn for Ms. B-More from the very beginning of her career in the late '90s, with the criticism of nepotism being compounded by rumors that her rhymes were being supplied by her other Commission crew-member.
"Jay-Z didn't ghostwrite 'Money,'" replied Charli when asked about Hov's role in her debut single. "I never had any [songs] ghostwritten by Jay-Z. I do all my own writing. But actually, 'Money' was written by The L.O.X. And that was because I had just gotten my deal and the person running the label at the time, [Lance "Un" Rivera], just thought that my first single should be written by someone else. But they wrote that and then after that I never had anybody else write anything for me. I write all of my stuff."
"I'm really big on that," she continued. "I think that's really important. I mean, I know people don't really pay a lot of attention to it, but to me it's just kind of my thing. I write all of my stuff, so I don't have a problem with saying that The L.O.X. wrote 'Money' 'cause everything else after that was all my stuff."
Charli was forced to defend herself against detractors wanting to know if she spit her own hits after "Money" on the DJ Premier-produced "Everybody Wanna Know" from her eventually shelved debut full-length, Cold as Ice. But ironically, that track only further fueled speculation of a Jay-Z influence either directly or indirectly on her bars.
"Well, that's hot! That's great. That's a great comparison," she replied when her Jigga-esque delivery on "Everybody Wanna Know" was inquired about. "I've actually heard that before. I mean, when I signed with Murder Inc., Irv Gotti was really big on all of his artists being able to be multi-talented. Ja [Rule] wrote R&B and was able to write Hip Hop. I kinda did the same, but rhyming is more my thing more so than R&B. But, he used to tell me that I rapped a little bit like Hov. So that's a compliment. I'll take that all day."
What the onetime "Down Ass Chick" for Murder Inc. would also gladly take all day are questions (even sharp ones) about her rhyming rather than nosey inquiries into her personal life. For her reemergence on the music scene in 2012 (which is being assisted by indie powerhouse Gracie Productions), she is making her bars the focus of discussion and not past label drama, love interests, or even tattoos.
"My personal life overshadowed a lot of my music, which is kinda sad because I know for a fact that I can write really well," said Charli. "But, you know, at this point in my life I feel like that's in the past. The stuff happened so long ago that it's not really relevant to anything that's going on now, so hopefully the music can speak for itself and all of my personal life, stuff that went on that people are kind of intrigued with, will stay behind the scenes."

Since Drake is "not a p*ssy" he figured he'd go ahead and respond, kinda. Just in case you can't read it, Drake subtweeted Common by saying "Platinum. Now THAT's Sweet!" Of course he's referring the song name and bragging on how many records he's sold in comparison to Common. Fair right? But then for some reason, Drake elected to take down the tweet. But that didn't stop the rest of twitter from weighing in on this supposed "beef" between two of the most non-threatening rappers the world has ever seen. Lil Wayne isn’t even 30 years old yet, and he’s been living the life of a millionaire since his early teen years. Draya References Rihanna x Chris Brown In Tweet, Says She Won’t Judge
Chris Brown and Rihanna somehow manage to be the talk of the town more than two– almost 3 years after the Grammy incident. They’ve kept their distance from one another for a long time, and now it looks as if they make random subtweets toward each other, while RiRi talks to Breezy’s mom and so forth.
The latest tweets that showed up within minutes of one another contained “I love you’s” are the ones that everyone has been pointing fingers toward. Celebrities and media outlets have their own opinions about what Breezy and Rihanna should do in this situation– and Draya Michele of “Basketball Wives” is being outspoken about it all.
Rihanna could be quoting song lyrics, or simply sharing the way she’s feeling. And would Draya know best? Well, she was one of Chris’ girlfriends at one point post Rihanna, so perhaps she sees the true love that may lie between them both. Hmm… only time will tell on this one.
Nas Responds To Promoter’s Abduction, Wants to Help Out
We reported yesterday that American concert promoter Patrick Allocco and his son had been abducted at gun point in Angola by goons for a local ‘concert impresario’, after Nas had failed to make it to Angola to deliver the two concerts he had agreed to. Henrique “Riquhino” Miguel, the local impresario, had fronted the $315,000 to book Nas and Jemiah Jai for the shows, and was obviously angry when the pair failed to show up.Allocco and his son were later freed with the help of American Embassy, and are now apparently staying in a hotel until the matter is resolved.
TMZ now reports that, upon hearing the news, Nas stated that he was ready to pay a huge sum of money to get Allocco and his son back to the United States. Nas however refused to take the entire blame for his no-show in Angola: he claims that they had decided to call the trip off due to “miscommunication” regarding travel arrangements.
A TMZ source claims that Nas never had any intentions of keeping the money, but that his team is currently uncertain as to where they are supposed to send it. The source however confirms that they are working on it, and that bringing Allocco back to the United States safely is the main priority.
Common Joins All-Star Cast for This Year’s BET Honors Show
Common is the latest performer to join an already impressive line-up scheduled to appear at the taping of BET’s fifth annual Honors show. Every winter, the show celebrates the year’s highlights by honoring the achievements of African American artists and luminaries.This year’s event will honor living-legend Stevie Wonder, singer Mariah Carey, poet Maya Angelou, film director Spike Lee, and more. According the Hollywood Reporter, Aretha Franklin, Patti Labelle, Cicely Tyson will also be performing to at this year’s event, while Cuba Gooding Jr., Terrance Howard, and Willow Smith are all scheduled to appear.
No word yet on what kind of performance we can expect from Common, though his recent collaboration and ongoing admiration for legendary poet Maya Angelou can lead us to believe that the Chicago rapper is likely to give us something that will somehow relate to the poet.
Last month, Common released his newest album entitled The Dreamer, The Believer that features a spoken word by Maya Angelou on the track The Dreamer.
Taping for the fifth annual BET Honors will take place on Saturday, January 14 at the Warner Theater in Washington, D.C. The show will air for Black History Month on February 13 at 9 p.m. on BET
Mike Tyson’s Hotel Room Broken Into While Ex-Champ Sleeps
If there were such a thing as a Breaking & Entering for Dummies handbook, I’m pretty sure that ‘Do not break into Mike Tyson’s Room’ would be a fundamental rule somewhere in there. Some guy almost learned that the hard way last Saturday in Las Vegas, by breaking into Iron Mike’s hotel room while the former champ was in asleep in his bed.TMZ reports that Mike was staying at The Cosmopolitan of Las Vegas this past weekend, and after attending the Stevie Wonder New Year’s Eve concert, he and his family went back to the hotel to get some sleep. After hearing some noises in the room, Mike woke up; but by the time he got to his feet, the intruder was already gone.
Reports also indicate that security was called immediately (as opposed to Mike Tyson hunting the guy down himself) and that nothing was reported stolen from the room.
A hotel representative gave an official statementsaying: “We have received a report of an incident that is currently under investigation. As always, guest safety is of the utmost importance.”
The whole scene bears a striking resemblance with something you would see in one of the Hangover movies; however, no tiger was reported in this story.
Ohio Man Stabbed for Not Knowing That Jay-Z and Beyonce Are Married
If you thought it was hard to keep up with everything going on in the Jay-Z and Beyonce story, this might make you want to put in some extra effort to stay up-to-date. Apparently, not keeping up with celebrity news can be a dangerous game in places like Parma, Ohio, where a man was allegedly stabbed for not knowing that Jay-Z and Beyonce were married.According to Cleveland’s Fox 8, an argument erupted over a music video in between two men in a Parma apartment. Det. Marty Compton of the Parma Police Department told Fox 8 that a 48-year-old man from Garfield Heights, Ohio was stabbed soon after for not knowing that Jay and Bey were in fact a married couple. Ronald Deaver, 31, was arrested and charged for felonious assault in the alleged stabbing.
According to Det. Compton, the victim was taken to a nearby hospital after the incident. Later on, he was transferred to MetroHealth Medical Center where he is now considered in stable condition.
When police appeared at Deaver’s apartment, a woman present claimed that Deaver didn’t live there. Deaver was later found by police and arrested. The woman, Jennifer Fornari, was also arrested for obstructing justice.

The remaining member of Miami Heat’s “Big 3,” Dwayne Wade, is on the cover of Essence’s Februrary 2012 issue with his girlfriend Gabrielle Union. The duo has been dating for quite some time, and it’s gone from three unmarried couples to one married couple, and one engaged (LeBron and Savannah) in their circle of close friends.
Hopefully they’re one of the next couples to prepare to tie the knot, but until then Gabby and D. Wade are happy with their dating situation and choose to open up a little bit more about it in the “Valentine’s” issue of Essence. Dwayne Wade shares their outlook as a couple with the magazine,

Pepsi Co Denies Any Distributing Deal With 50 Cent’s ‘Street King’

His “Street King” energy drink might be failing miserably, or doing really well– but we can’t tell because he’s acting like he needs a handout with every promotional attempt that he throws out. His latest came with the talk that he’s got a deal with Pepsi to distribute his energy drink that’s the vehicle for him to feed African children.
But Pepsi isn’t buying it, nor are they buying his drink. But one of Pepsi’s distributors is, indeed doing a deal with the G-Unit man himself. The Honickan Group is the actual partner in this one, and it’s noted that SK will possibly be going from 30,000 stores to as many as 80,000 stores in the next 90 days.

If most didn’t get the memo that Amber Rose had opened up allegedly to Star Magazine about Kim Kardashian and Kanye West hooking up. But speculations ran high as Amber has been the center for many misled gossip plots previously, so it’s hard to say which outlets make the false stories and which just relay information.

Kanye West Announces The Creation of ‘DONDA’ Creative Company
Since Kanye has had to clear up the misled public of the false Kanye West Fashion Twitter page, he’s been on a rant about his latest venture. Committed to changing the world and picking up where Steve Jobs left off, Kanye West is a forward thinking visionaire for how he wants to impact everyone’s daily lives.
His latest business venture is titled “DONDA” and Ye explains it best via his Twitter page.
“I am assembling a team of architects, graphic designers, directors musicians, producers, AnRs, writers, publicist, social media experts…app guys, managers, car designers, clothing designers, DJs, video game designers, publishers, tech guys, lawyers, bankers, nutritionist …doctors, scientist,teachers…DONDA will be comprised of over 22 divisions with a goal to make products and experiences that people want and can afford…”
He wants to “marry” our wants and needs as consumers, and thinks that it can all be achieved with simplicity and lots of digital screens. One of Donda’s goals? To design the MTV Awards, and he notes that they’re taking things all 10 steps at a time while plugging the WTT Tour as a prime example of what DONDA can do.

Rihanna Fenty Finally Sells Her Beverly Hills House For $5 Million
Rihanna has had her Hollywood mansion up for sale for awhile now, and it finally went for about $5 Million. After RiRi had filed a lawsuit due to quite a bit of significant water damage in a “mild storm” which held her to deem the house as needing extensive work and labeling it as a “major fixer.”
Rihanna‘s contemporary abode originally set her back almost $7 million, and while she’s recouped quite a bit of what she paid for the huge home– ultimately it’s a business deal. And the Bajan pop singer isn’t about to let some shady character take advantage of her.
Ri and her camp are citing that damage has been done to the roof, windows, doors, and balconies and the 23 year old hopes to be compensated accordingly.
Whether or not there was substantially true damage done by the weather (in Sunny S0Cal) is hard to say, but where will she go next? Kanye West Clears Up Clothing Line Misconceptions x False ‘Dw by Kanye’ Twitter Page
Kanye West hasn’t been one for interviewing for quite some time. Since he’s been buddy buddy with Jay-Z and the Knowles-Carter’s have taught him a thing or two about leading a private life, Ye has rarely been seen talking to the media or any kind of press. But every now and again there comes a time when you’ve got to make a statement to protect your brands.
When word started to spread that Kanye had launched a “Dw by Kanye” Twitter page, Ye figured it was the best time to announce all that wasn’t true concerning his clothing line.
First, the fashion line by Kanye isn’t even called “Dw,” it’s name is none other than a self titled one– “Kanye West.” Ye just relays that it was a nice design element to add to the invitations for the Paris Fashion Week launch. He started off on Twitter by saying, “I appreciate everyone’s support for my clothing line but I wanted to clarify a few things…”
He’s been going strong on Twitter in the past hour and is still tweeting all sorts of details about his fashion resume and all that he’s been through in his endeavors to be a real designer, even speaking of times he went fur shopping with his late mother, Donda West.
Kanye West Is Not The ‘Jetsons’ Movie Creative Director
‘The Jetsons’ may be in it’s preliminary movie stages, but Kanye West is trying really hard to get in on the action. He’s had an affinity for all things futuristic and space oriented. With his new creative company DONDA en route to being created, Kanye went on a complete Twitter tirade the other night telling all about where he’s been and where he’s going.
Toward the beginning of the 80-some-odd tweets that went out Wednesday night, Yeezy started off telling his fans and followers about the phone conference he had participated in with “Jetsons” movie producers, and talked about his involvement as the possible creative director.
Well, the “Jetsons” producers couldn’t let him stamp his name on something that he’s not officially a part of, so they’ve spoken out about Ye’s non-involvement in the flick (so far).
THR reports, that not only is there no such position on the set of a film, the conversation was “preliminary and exploratory and introductory. We explained how our process usually works, that usually there’s a screenplay, and a director in place first, and that this was … a nontraditional way, but then, he’s a guy with his fingers in a lot of pies, and who likes to work out-of-the-box.”

Tech N9ne and Twista Joint Mixtape Will Not Release
News began to hit the hip hop community hard this morning that rap legends Tech N9ne and Twista would be teaming up for a joint mixtape, but it looks like these announcements were nothing more than false rumors.Tech N9ne came off an incredible year in 2011, due much in part to the success of his critically acclaimed ‘All 6′s and 7′s’ album. It was beginning to look like 2012 was going to be kicked off with a bang, as the Strange Music rapper was reportedly teaming up Chicago emcee Twista for a collaboration mixtape.
The news spread quickly through the blogosphere before Steve J. Horowitz from HHDX took to his Twitter account announcing that neither Tech N9ne or Twista’s management teams could confirm the project.
A joint project with two of the fastest spitting emcees in the game would have surely had fans in a frenzy, but it looks like fans will have to wait for the time being. Twista fans still have something to look forward to though. Mr. Tongue Twista is working on a new solo mixtape with DJ Drama along with a brand new album set to release later this year.

Nicki Minaj surpasses rap superstar Eminem as the most followed rapper on the popular social networking service Twitter.The internet has truly evolved over the past few years, and has become a massive marketing tool for everyone including music artists. DMX Gets Attacked By Long Beach Fan During Performance, watch it now!
It didn’t take long for a crazy fan to rush DMX as he performed one his hit singles on stage during a Long Beach performance.
Dark Man X was giving a performance for fans last night at California Cafe Sevilla in Long Beach, California, when the rapper was blind-sided by a crazed fan looking to do who knows what as he stormed the rapper on stage.
It looks as though the fan was attempting to attack DMX, but the attacker is removed from the scene as quickly as he appeared thanks to the assistance of X’s body guards as seen in the video captured by TMZ.
However DMX did not seem to be fazed what so ever by the event. He simply brushed the man off, and proceed to perform as he proclaimed “We don’t stop the music for shit!”
The clip is rather brief, but you can check it out after the break. DMX is currently working on his ‘Undisputed’ album set to release this coming March 27th, 2012.

Birdman Says Busta Rhymes, Mystikal Dropping Albums in May, Most of YMCMB Also Releasing LPs
Additionally, Baby confirms Lil Wayne is prepping his I’m Not a Human Being Part 2 album as well…
To hear Birdman say it, 2012 is going to be a busy year for Young Money/Cash Money.
Baby tells 1millionhustlas that YMCMB is dropping more albums than ever before this year. First up are LPs by Tyga, Lil Twist and Nicki Minaj. And, the team’s flagship act, Lil’ Wayne has plans to come back out this year as well.
“He’s working on a couple of albums,” Birdman confirmed. “I think the next one he wants to put out is I’m Not a Human Being [Part 2]. We don’t have a date. He never stops working. So with him, you never know. It all depends on when the young boss wants to drop it. Tunechi do what he want. We’re ready for whatever, whenever he’s ready to go. When he calls the shot, we’ll make it move. Right now it’s about Tyga, Nicki, Twist, Bow and myself; everybody that has albums coming out before we put Wayne’s out in the next few months.”
In addition to those LPs, Birdman says Mystikal and Busta Rhymes have albums dropping in May. Not to mention, Drake’s Take Care is out and seems like it will have legs to take it well into 2012.
Birdman says one of his dreams is to bring everybody out on a stadium tour while they have projects out.
“That’s one of the goals we have,” Birdman says about a potential YMCMB stadium tour. “That’s something I would like to do one day in this lifetime. I want us to do our own tours. And we set up for that. That’s one of the reasons for having these special acts – for touring. Everybody is going to have fresh music out by the summer time. We just gonna keep it going. Try to find new acts, try to break new acts. And the acts that’s already broke, keep getting bigger and bigger. I can’t stress enough about the growth. We just want to grow, sell more records, do more digital numbers, find a way to keep expanding.
G. Dep Penning New Book From Prison
Even though he’s in jail, G. Dep hasn’t stopped writing.
Currently serving time at Rikers Island after confessing in December 2010 to a murder from 1993, the Harlem rapper phoned in to Reese On The Radio on blogtalkradio.com to discuss his upcoming book and what he’s been dealing with on the inside.
“The book is an autobiography,” the former Bad Boy signee explained. “It’s one of those things where I’m not trying to explain or justify anything, it’s just I’m trying to just give people my last option. Obviously I can’t record. I don’t know if people are wondering what’s going on or even care, but this is something from an artistic point of view that will kind of close out what I was doing, for now. It might kinda answer some people’s questions.”
“I’m really just putting it out there as an example,” he continued about the release, which will be written in poetry. “You can make your own synopsis of what you think of it or what you’re trying to do with yourself. Really, I’m just putting my story out there. And I’m trying to give a positive message at the same time.”
Though the rapper said his time behind bars hasn’t been easy, he assured that he’s maintaining. “It’s sacred to me what’s going on with this thing here,” he explained. “I’m day-to-day. I’m getting through day-to-day. Like anything, you feel down. But the ups and downs are—it’s something that I needed to deal with, anyway. I was out in the street, and I wasn’t really dealing with anything anyway. So, you know, the ups and downs, it’s probably more beneficial that it goes this way anyway. I felt like I was going nowhere, fast. It was like Groundhog Day. I was going through the days. Somebody was waiting for me to do something. If I was gonna be an idiot and keep acting like I didn’t understand what was going on, I was just gonna go further and further into the hole.”
In September, G. Dep’s appeal to have his charges reduced from murder to manslaughter were not granted, and prosecutors are still reportedly seeking 15 years to life.

Birdman says he has his eyes on two new artists that he plans on signing to his label, and denies rumors that Lil B and Young Buck will sign to YMCMB…
2012 will bring lots of new music from the YMCMB family, but could it also be bringing new artists to the roster?
Birdman says he has his eagle eyes on two acts in particular.
“Wow. I got a few things I’m trying to work out,” The numero uno Stunna told 1million hustlas recently. “Nothing I want speak on this moment. Definitely working on something big, though.”
While The Birdman wouldn’t divulge who might be coming on board, he did say who was not joining the roster. At least for now. The CEO of the musical cartel said there was no truth to the rumors that Lil B and former G-Unit staple Young Buck were joining the family.
“Both of them is two of the little homies I have the utmost respect for,” he said. ” I don’t know Lil B’s situation. I don’t know Buck’s situation. I’m friends to both of them. If the opportunity ever came, I would love to work with both of them. I know Buck is in a situation. I really don’t know Lil B’s situation, he’s real cool with my son Wayne. I got love and respect for both of them, but they never came across the menu yet. I spoke with Buck a few times, he’s been a friend of the family. B is a friend of the family. But It ain’t came to none of that. Not to this point.”
When asked if the artists he’s pursing are established vets or up-and-coming stars, The Birdman replied “both.”
“We like to be new, young,” he said. “My son [Wayne] does the newer acts [on Young Money]. On our side [Cash Money] it be more veteran.”
