Mike Tyson’s Hotel Room Broken Into While Ex-Champ Sleeps

If there were such a thing as a Breaking & Entering for Dummies handbook, I’m pretty sure that ‘Do not break into Mike Tyson’s Room’ would be a fundamental rule somewhere in there. Some guy almost learned that the hard way last Saturday in Las Vegas, by breaking into Iron Mike’s hotel room while the former champ was in asleep in his bed.
TMZ reports that Mike was staying at The Cosmopolitan of Las Vegas this past weekend, and after attending the Stevie Wonder New Year’s Eve concert, he and his family went back to the hotel to get some sleep. After hearing some noises in the room, Mike woke up; but by the time he got to his feet, the intruder was already gone.
Reports also indicate that security was called immediately (as opposed to Mike Tyson hunting the guy down himself) and that nothing was reported stolen from the room.
A hotel representative gave an official statementsaying: “We have received a report of an incident that is currently under investigation. As always, guest safety is of the utmost importance.”
The whole scene bears a striking resemblance with something you would see in one of the Hangover movies; however, no tiger was reported in this story.
