You see, both Jay Z and Ludacris were BOTH looking to put a bar/restaurant inside the Atlanta airport. Early on in the process, it was believed that the Hartsfield-Jackson airport would only allow ONE new major bar/restaurant. And that put Jay Z, who was looking to open a new 40-40 restaurant and Ludacris, who was looking to open a new CHICKEN N BEER, bar restaurant HEAD-TO-HEAD!!!
Jay Z pulled out ALL THE STOPS, hiring a top PR firm and lobbyists to put together an ATTRACTIVE PRESENTATION to get his 40-40 CLUB put in the airport.
But Ludacris did him ONE BETTER. You see, in addition to having a top PR firm and lobbyists, Luda had his good friend Mayor Kasim Reed speak to the Atlanta city council.
So yesterday, Atlanta's city council made their decision. Atlanta’s city council VOTED AGAINST Jay Z's club, which was NOT supported by Mayor Reid. And Ludacris was GRANTED his license to open in the airport.
