Special colors of Nike’s key signature basketball shoes will debut on the feet of
Kevin Durant,
Kobe Bryant,
LeBron James and
Amar’e Stoudemire on
Christmas day. Christmas day has become the canvas for special
Nike Basketball colorways and the 2011 Christmas day games are sure to delight basketball fans around the world. Kobe Bryant will push the boundaries by wearing a purple and lime green version of the
Nike Zoom Kobe VII System (Attack Fast) with special graphics representing the speed of the leopard with red laces. LeBron James goes a bit more traditional with a red upper, white midsole and green lace version of the
LEBRON 9. Kevin Durant will wear a metalized-effect version of the
Nike Zoom KD IV inspired by copper cookie cutters. And Amar’e will sport a predominantly green version of the
Nike Air Max Sweep Thru paying heritage to New York’s Christmas Day uniforms. You can already see the countdown available for Christmas 9′s at
eastbay.com.
The situation has been finally cleared up. LeBron’s
All Star Game shoes
will be orange this season with many cool features (special tongue, insole, midfoot shank). The other two new colorways from earlier today have the
Dunkman logo on the back, just like we mentioned before, but now we have some new photos to back it up. Additionally, the blue pair has a special Dunkman logo inspired by the great
Ken Griffey Jr. and his
Swingman logo. The original Dunkman is still my favorite though.

nike-lebron-shoesBack in October we profiled
four different colorways of the
Nike LeBron 9 Low that are slated to come out in Spring 2012. All of them are quite interesting casual friendly styles. The
Nike LeBron 9 Low “Easter” is a codename for a Dark Grey, Mint Candy, Cool Grey and New Green colorway. Definitely a different approach with toned back pastel shades from we’ve seen so far with the Mid version. They last year’s low-top was a big hit. Hopefully these will pick up where 8′s left off.

nike-lebron-shoesIt’s all started with a
Big Bang. If you though Nike was out of crazy colorways after releasing Chinas, Cannons, and Miami Nights… think again. Seems like we’re in for another surprise in 2012. The Nike LeBron 9 “
Galaxy” is an orange based colorway, definitely one of the brightest we’ve seen so far. Also, it comes with a special Lion logo on the tongue and a just as special galaxy insole. Expect them in stores next year or head over to
marqueesole.com to cop a pair now.
Update: This is the actual LeBron James’
2012 NBA All-Star Game shoe!

nike-lebron-shoesThe
All-Star collection of
Nike LeBron shoes consists of many great colorways. We’re probably looking at its latest member. A new colorway of the
Nike LeBron 9 has just surfaced the Internet. The timing and the color blocking suggest a possible
All-Star Game make up. It features a blue upper sitting on a white outsole highlighted with solar red details. Stay tuned for updates and confirmation if they’re indeed slated for a February showcase.
Update: Apparently they ain’t All-Star shoes after all. They even have the Dunkman logo on the back. Are we in for a Dunkman pack? They story will unfold soon.

nike-lebron-shoesIt’s safe to say that 2012 will bring us a well-deserved
Dunkman shoe. The last year’s model –
Dunkman 8 P.S. – wasn’t to everyone’s liking and had just as many friends as enemies. But, if the rumors are true the
Nike LeBron 9 will take cues from the ultra-popular
Dunkman VII. Presented below is a new colorway sporting a Dark grey upper with classic translucent
Mean Green outsole and details. Even the 3M reflective laces are back. It has Dunkman written all over it… apart from the logo, which is not visible on this single photo. Stay tuned for more information.

nike-lebron-shoesNike is set to release this year’s
Christmas exclusive in just a couple of days. You can see how they compare to the Xmas’ of past through
The Collection. Right now let’s take a closer look at the last year’s model, because the theme has pretty much stayed the same. Fortunately, Nike didn’t change it too much. They’re still red and very “Christmassy” for sure. Both LBJ8 and LBJ9 share a candy red upper with green laces. The Eight was snowing on the midsole opposed to an icey outsole on the Nines. Which one is better? That’s up to you to decide. Continue reading for a showcase of the
Nike LeBron 8 V/2 “Christmas”.

nike-lebron-shoesLeBron James continues to show love to the Miami community via this special make up of the Nike LeBron 9. This time it’s a collaboration with local artist Alvaro “Freegums” Ilizarbe. Using a simple black and white palette, Freegums’ signature print style can be seen on the inner lining of the shoe and on on the toebox in a tonal white-on-white treatment. His custom pattern was also used to create a limited edition box. The Nike LeBron 9 x Freegums will drop in limited numbers on December 31st, but they’re already arriving at retailers so keep your eyes peeled.
